Van der Hoeven and Flavorite Group have worked together since 2010, starting with traditional heated greenhouses before taking the next step towards semi closed growing with the ModulAIR greenhouse in Warragul, Australia.

The ModulAIR greenhouse was designed to respond to local climate conditions while providing greater control over the growing environment. Its climate chamber combines controlled ventilation with energy efficient EC fans, helping create stable conditions for high quality tomato production throughout the year.

The project marked an important step in Flavorite’s development of protected cropping in Australia and demonstrates how greenhouse design and climate technology can be adapted to local growing conditions.
