Project description

For Norby, Van der Hoeven realized a 27,000 m² venlo tomato greenhouse in Russia, a country known for its extreme climate conditions. With freezing winters, hot summers and significant temperature fluctuations throughout the year, the climate presents a major challenge for reliable food production.

Using advanced greenhouse technology, the greenhouse creates a stable and controlled growing environment, independent of outdoor conditions. This enables Norby to produce high quality tomatoes year round with consistent quality and yield.

The project demonstrates how controlled environment agriculture makes food production possible in regions where climate conditions have traditionally been a limiting factor. With this investment, Norby has established a future proof production facility that supports local production and contributes to a reliable supply of fresh tomatoes in the region.
